The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is considering removing protections for Gray Wolves across the entire lower 48 states. If you do not want to see this happen, here is a link from the Center for Biological Diversity through which you may contact your member of Congress to support legislation designed to ensure that the protections that actually do remain for the Gray Wolf -fitful and weak as they now are- are not removed.

Hey I am from Canada, and I think the plight of wolves is a sad one. We humans need to stop meddling with nature. I have an acquaintance who runs a school program here in BC that enlightens kids and the public about wolves. You may find his work of some interest:

I will definitely take a look. Thank you for the link.
Thanks for the heads up on this one. I followed the link and signed the letter. Until I did background research for my werewolf fiction, I had no idea that we were killing them in Oregon again.
Yes, and the population in Oregon is very small. As per my understanding, the U.S. Government has essentially made it so that wolves are going to be wiped out in the lower 48. Or, if not wiped out, they will be down to a size that will not be genetically sustainable.
This is one of the reasons I voted Green in the last election and plan to keep doing so.
Here’s a link that gives some background of a fight in Wisconsin to prevent the use of dogs in hunting wolves. She received death threats for her testimony and the judge ruled that the use of dogs is legal.

Awesome, Susan. Thank you.
